First Amsterdam! Good Cookies Website Blog

Why a blog?

Hello lovely people reading this, welcome to the first and real Amsterdam! Good Cookies Blog! I have to say it’s quite exciting to write a blog again. I did it before back when I travelled a lot, and I’ve also done it a few times for my other website kevinmooibroek.com.

But because I’ve been so busy with Amsterdam! Good Cookies, it was sometimes hard to find the time and simply do it. Luckily I’ve found that time again, because I think it’s SUPER COOL to keep you up to date on the ADVENTURES and experiences in our company.

So what we’re going to do now is write a BLOG FOR YOU 2 TIMES A MONTH. At least….. that’s the plan and the mindset. But don’t hold us to it if we only tell you something once a month.

So what have you been up to?

We’ve experienced a lot over the past 2.5 years! What I experienced this week is actually quite funny. Of course you can already see a lot of it on our Facebook page, Twitter or Instagram, which we’ve been doing for a few years now. But we also often get lots of questions by email, WhatsApp or Snapchat. (Yes, we’re on there too: AdamGoodCookies :)).

And the questions we get are often only answered for the people who emailed, texted or snapped us.

So I thought…. Hey, wouldn’t it be REALLY COOL to answer those questions in my Blog? So we’re simply adding this section to this Blog. But tell me, what kind of questions do people ask? Well, below are a few, one of which I’ll answer for you now.

Questions

  • How on earth did you end up selling stroopwafels?
  • Where do you find the time to be constantly visible on Social Media, to export, write Blogs, attend Events, etc. etc.?
  • Why is Amsterdam in your brand name?
  • How did you ever get started?
  • Have you ever had any real setbacks?

Right, these are some of the questions we get, which makes sense of course.

The question I want to pick out is the 2nd one above: where do I find the time to be present almost everywhere? If not online, then in person.

Yes, I’ve asked myself that question too.. So I figured out how best to manage it. And the answer is actually very SIMPLE and a CLICHÉ. It’s PLANNING.

SOCIAL MEDIA has lots of platforms that let you schedule posts. Facebook has this feature built in, so on a Sunday evening you can already write quite a few posts yourself. For example before and after the sports highlights on TV :).

You’ve already taken the photos etc. during that week, so you can just add them. The same goes for all the other Social Media platforms. Hootsuite, for example, is a very good one, and we use it too.

So if you’ve already scheduled all these posts for 1 or 2 weeks, or for 3 days, you have much more peace and time to export and to be at Events. At Festivals/Events you can then go LIVE on Facebook, or make a nice POST for Instagram, which you can combine with Twitter again.

All those experiences later come back in a Blog and/or Newsletter, and so the circle is complete. And that’s pretty COOL, I can tell you.

By the way, have you signed up for our NEWSLETTER yet? Then do so HERE and also receive a NICE GIFT for our webshop!

I’ve written enough for a first time.

In 2 weeks, or maybe even next week, a new Blog about the adventures we have. And if you have a question or want to take a look behind the scenes, add us on Snapchat (adamgoodcookies).

Or email your question to info@amsterdamgoodcookies.com. Have a nice day and don’t forget to enjoy!

Cheers, Kevin Mooibroek, Amsterdam! Good Cookies, We Let People Smile.
